OUTSIDER ART | Paris Exhibition

30/9/19, 9:00 pm

After the success of our students’ works at the Kochi Biennale in early 2019, we were approached by the Outsider Art Fair organizers and requested to showcase their works in Paris.

Founded in New York in 1993, the Outsider Art Fair is the original art fair concentrating specifically on self-taught art and presenting works by acknowledged masters.

Rohit, Pranav, Kalash, Ayush and Adarsh wowed the visitors with their brilliance. We were the only organization from India to be so honoured. Invitations to showcase in other parts of the world also flew in. The world sat up and took notice of our school and the incredible talent that is latent in autism.

Outsider Art refers to the art practice of persons with autism who are not specifically trained in conventional art schools, have neurodevelopmental disabilities and deal with social exclusion. The art they produce may be outcomes of their interests, obsessions, non-linear thinking, oversensitivity to stimuli and other characteristics associated with autism.

Online news sites, traditional news and TV news covered Sense Kaleidoscopes’ artists’ works and their incredible journey.
