Meet the Team
Ayathi Trust is the seed of a quiet revolution — rooted in love, shaped by truth. It began with one simple belief: no child should be left behind for the mind they carry. Not an alternative, but an ethical call — to build systems that honour every way of being.
Ayathi holds the vision and fuels its unfolding — through initiatives like Sense Kaleidoscopes , where dignity meets design, and philosophy becomes practice.

AKSHAYEE SHETTY
Founder, Innovator in Autism Education
To be different in a world that values sameness is often to feel unseen. For Akshayee, this early experience as a neurodivergent child became the seed of her life’s work. She pursued art and education at the Glasgow School of Art and the University of Glasgow, later contributing to projects with Glasgow City Council. Returning to India, she founded Sense Kaleidoscopes and Ayathi Trust to reimagine autism education. Her vision is clear: education should not mould, but allow each mind to unfold in freedom. By integrating arts, research, and technology, she creates learning environments that foster dignity, independence, and creativity. For Akshayee, education is less about achievement and more about awakening—about cultivating spaces where difference is not burden, but brilliance.
ANAND ANANTHASWAMY
Co-Founder, Finance and Strategy
Numbers may seem rigid, but in Anand’s hands they become instruments of balance. As engineer, strategist, and mentor, he holds responsibility for the financial and operational clarity of Sense Kaleidoscopes. His role extends beyond keeping accounts: it is about ensuring that the trust rests on foundations strong enough to support vision. With patience and humility, he offers guidance in moments of challenge, ensuring progress without haste. Anand embodies the principle that true stability is not control, but attention. A traveller and animal lover, he reminds the team that joy and balance exist alongside responsibility. At SK, he is the anchor that steadies expansion, ensuring inclusion is sustained by both wisdom and accountability. His presence is quiet, but deeply essential.
MALA
Trustee, Spiritual Guide
Every movement needs stillness at its heart. Mala provides that stillness for Sense Kaleidoscopes. As mother, guide, and quiet centre, she embodies the qualities that sustain the trust through uncertainty: patience, humility, and faith. Her presence is not in managing accounts or drafting plans, but in reminding the community that education must be rooted in love. Mala’s wisdom grounds the work, ensuring it never loses sight of the human being at its core. For her, inclusion is not a strategy but a practice of compassion. She embodies the reminder that resilience grows from gentleness, and that true education is not an accumulation, but an awakening. In her role, unseen yet vital, Mala sustains the ethos of SK with spirit and clarity.
VAUHINI
Trustee, Fundraising and Training
To work with children is to learn patience; to build systems is to envision scale. Vauhini holds both. She began her journey with SK hands-on, supporting autistic children and young adults in building social and behavioural confidence. Later, she became an entrepreneur, co-founding Audio Academy LLP and founding LMSM, an audio-tech start-up incubated at the Indian Institute of Science. Today she returns as trustee, guiding expansion, fundraising, and team training. Her dual vision—practical and strategic—bridges the ground and the horizon. For Vauhini, inclusion is not theory, but lived practice that must grow responsibly. She represents the principle that transformation begins in small acts of care, yet must move outward to shape structures. At SK, she carries both beginnings and possibilities.
DR. JYOTHI SRIRAM
Trustee, Expansion and Fundraising
To heal is to listen — not just to the body, but to the human being. As a senior obstetrician, gynaecologist, and infertility specialist with over 24 years of experience, Dr. Jyothi brings to Ayathi Trust a deep well of medical expertise, spiritual grounding, and quiet commitment to service. Her training spans high-risk obstetrics, infertility, and palliative care, with work across hospitals in Mysuru, Manipal, Coimbatore, and Bengaluru. But beyond credentials, she brings care as a daily practice — rooted in humility and guided by her belief that service is a form of prayer. Born into a family of teachers, Jyothi has long been drawn to transformative education for children with special needs. At Ayathi, she helps guide outreach, scale, and visibility, ensuring this work reaches more lives. For Jyothi, health, learning, and compassion are one movement — and all lives deserve dignity in that wholeness.
